How this works

On a technical level, all sessions are conducted over Zoom, and you will receive a link to our virtual meeting room before the first appointment. I can only work with people who live in the state of New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina and are over the age of 18.

On a therapeutic level, that's for us to figure out together!

Insurance, Rates, & Sliding Scale

I am currently accepting Aetna, United Healthcare, Oscar, and Oxford plans in all states I am licensed in. I am not accepting Medicaid & Medicare plans at this time. If we decide to make a first appointment in our consultation, I will run an eligibility check to make sure that I am in your plan's network and you will receive a confirmation.

If you do not have one of these plans but are able to receive reimbursements for out-of-network (OON) providers on your current insurance plan, I can provide necessary billing documents. Here is more info OON benefits.

My standard out-of-network fee for 45 minute individual sessions is $150. I do offer a sliding scale for individual clients, which we can discuss in our initial consultation. The out-of-network fee for 60 minute couples sessions is $200.

Billing & Cancellation policy

In-network sessions are automatically billed to your insurance after your appointment. Out-of-network sessions are billed the same day through Stripe. All clients are required to provide a card to keep on file.

Sessions can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance, cancellations within 48 hours are subject to a fee if a reschedule is not possible.

Preparing for our first session

If we've made an appointment, you've already done the hardest part, which is reaching out. Check beforehand to make sure the device you're using is charged.

Privacy is very important to therapy, so please make sure to be in a location where you can speak freely. If you have concerns about being overheard by someone in your household, here are some useful options: using headphones or having a white noise machine, sitting in a car, or taking a walk outside. Pets are always welcome!
